Comment: I'm a rising third year theta (I guess kind of counts as self-ranking? but i promise isn't the point) and I just want to address the girls coming to UChicago that a lot of the reviews here are written by girls in sororities. This truly isn't meant to call anyone out but what I will say is DONT look at greekrank as a reliable or accurate source for any uchicago sororities- i've read reviews that are both good and bad about ALL sororities that I know are wrong. Go to UC, have a wonderful time, and base your opinion off of the girls that you talk with at recruitment and your conversations with them. Trust your gut, and just go where you enjoy the conversations the most and think to yourself "wow, I really want to be friends with these girls" or "I can really see myself growing here". Ignore the bad reviews because it could falsely make you shy away from a sorority that could be a wonderful place for you to find your sisters and your home, like I have in theta. Gonna be honest, it really makes me sad more than anything to see any bad reviews on us, both those written by other sororities and not, because I have found a group of the most wonderful, kind, talented and ambitious people in theta. I 100% made the right choice and to be honest I have in no way experienced any of the awful stuff written on this page. Would I be here right now writing this review if I'd had a bad experience? My friends in theta have gotten me through things I really can't explain, and I have theta to thank for that support system. Anyways, if you're going to UChicago and are rushing, just ignore greekrank altogether. Make your own adult decision and look at the older girls in the sorority and ask yourself if these are the girls you want to be one day. That's what I did and it hasn't failed me yet.
