A "commendable" way to handle the recent events would involve the people in charge taking public responsibility for the actions of chapter members, taking disciplinary action against the people responsible, and making all possible efforts to change the culture of the organization to preempt future incidents. DU has done none of this, and in some cases, done the opposite. Understandable, sure, but commendable? Laughable.
