If you are no longer a member of any chapter on campus, you cannot attend events which is a greek life rule. If you want to remain friends with people in the chapter, nobody will stop you. Being off of the official groupme and Facebook shouldn't deter you from being friends with people, it's just business because you do not pay for your membership any longer. Once you don't pay anymore or don't attend LSU, you can't be part of the chapter or its inner mechanisms. Also, when you are not a member you are no longer covered my the chapter insurance and cannot be present at events because of this either.
