If you have a daughter going through recruitment as a legacy, it is VERY important that you understand what the Theta policy is on legacies and what the baseline expectation is. Legacies are not guaranteed a bid, but rather a fair look with an opportunity to meet a decent number of members. This actually happened to my own daughter at another school. I knew going in what the policy was. They kept her around for a few rounds but not preference. While I was upset (OK I was really mad!), I was grateful she wasn't led-on all the way through to the end. The house she pledged was one she liked the best and suits her best. Had she made it through pref night, she would have been torn between what I hoped for her vs where she really wanted to be. You want your daughter to be in the house that is perfect for her, not where you thought was the best decades ago. The way I look at it, she's adding Panhellenic houses to the family tree... More legacy options for your granddaughters.
