Maybe their "trying" (aka: effort) is what bothers you. I've never heard of success without effort. Maybe some can make success seem effortless - but when you talk to successful people and organizations - you'll find that there's usually a lot of effort involved. Who ever said to a successful athlete or musician or business person - "you try too hard..." No one ever. And even if people did, they wouldn't let it affect their own motivation. So this "trying too hard" stuff smacks seems disingenuous. If they just aren't your type of people, that's ok. If you think they're nerds or preppies or whatever - that's ok - but it is what's inside you. At least they're participating and, {gasp!} - trying.
