Trust me, there have been times I have seen a whole bunch of Alpha Phi girls in a single room in school, and they do not even act like a sorority anywhere outside of their house. They just know that these girls are in their sorority and pretend that they are just random strangers. If there were a bunch of Alpha Gam girls in a single room in school, for sure they would acknowledge each other in the room and actually stay together as if the sorority is taking over the room.
