Sigma Phi Delta is one of only three (3) engineering fraternities in the US and Canada (Sigma Phi Delta, Theta Tau, Triangle). Trine had another engineering fraternity until the 2000's (Triangle), but it's no longer there. Sigma Phi Delta is unique in the sense that it's both social and professional. Some people on site complained about lack of diversity, but this organization is set up as an engineering fraternity. Engineering is one of the toughest majors, so a B average in engineering can be considered equal to an A in something much less challenging like sociology or psychology. For the record, I am alumni of this fraternity.
