Idk about phi mu since I didn't pref them but this seems identical to aephi, traditions like these are clearly nationals things, they come out of ritual handbooks. Also I know phi mu is one of the oldest sororities so if it seems like they're "trying" too hard to be traditional it's probably just because they are very traditional, as far as ritual and traditions the girls in this chapter have no control over, just like all other sororities.
