Sisters are explicitly told not to drink before any philanthropy event. However, there are a few that don't follow the rules from time to time, but they face consequences for their actions. You're overlooking the majority of sisters who take philanthropy events very seriously and work hard planning and setting up for events. You can't define the whole sisterhood based on the decisions of a few sisters.
