Agree with this 100%. I have a friend in Theta and she said that I think around 6 girls pretty much knew they were gonna transfer after this year when they joined and only joined here so they could join Theta at the school they were going to transfer to. I'm not sure how they could've prevented this though, especially because I doubt these girls told the people who interviewed them that they were going to be transferring. Also agree that their "sisterhood" is sad- on top of the (I think) 9 or 10 girls who ended up leaving GW, they've also had a fair number disaffiliate (including one girl who seemed to be all about Theta and was BFFs with a lot of them- not sure what happened there). My friend in Theta is excluded by most of her sisters and has had a really hard time making friends with a lot of those girls. I know she wishes she'd COBd Pi Phi last spring, KD this fall, or just waited to do formal recruitment but doesn't want to drop now because of the amount of time she's put into it. Even after COB, their numbers are below where they were last spring and I think that's a bad sign. It doesn't seem like they're continuing to COB throughout this semester, so I doubt formal recruitment's going to go over well for them. Definitely had a lot of potential- I thought for sure they'd be middle tier after FR in the spring- but I think now they're stuck in the bottom tier.
