I'm not saying that people aren't friends it. I am sure there are several groups that will be friends for life and that's great for them, that's one of the major points of a sorority. all I am saying is that I have heard first hand from several close friends that there is a lot of phoniness and clashing amongst the girls and yes, cattiness. the sisterhood may not be as strong as many people who are not in org seem to think and you may want to think twice about joining. since you claim to not be in the org, wouldn't you probably know just much as me about how catty/close they are or aren't? ;)
