I think you provide an interesting assessment of the chapter. However, I find your advice to "learn how to get along" disappointing. Pi Phi does not recruit friend groups- the chapter recruits individuals. Because the house has so many different personality types, conflict is inevitable. Pi Phi will always have conflict, but that's not necessarily a negative- it's actually more reflective of real life. If you look at Pi Phi, the chapter is home to campus leaders/activists AND party girls...of course they won't necessarily agree on everything. Pi Phi will only run into trouble if the chapter fails to mitigate that conflict and compromise. I think that's where the house went wrong first semester- chapter leadership was unable to successfully build compromises amongst different factions. I joined Pi Phi because I knew I could be an individual- the house wouldn't make me change to fit a certain mold. Some women want to "fit in"- Pi Phi's don't.
