I was going to go through recruitment as a sophomore this past fall, however I decided not to for reasons I think you understand. The community is harsh, they don't actually care about one another, and they do indeed bash on other chapters to hinder their ability to grow. On that note, I'd like to add that I may not know much about the " greek community" but I do know what this chapter has done for a much larger community. I went through something, very difficult to speak about, and a few members of their chapter witnessed it and got me the help I needed. Women I had never met, went out of their way and saved my life in the process. I have seen first hand what these ladies stand for. They have a passion for their philanthropy and they make a difference in peoples lives. If you don't think that is "Impactful and positive" enough for your greek community than there is something wrong with you not them.
