Thanks for realizing their existence! While small in number of women from UChicago, AKA's Beta chapter was chartered in Ida Noyes Hall at UChicago in 1913 and takes in collegians from five Chicago-area campuses. You may even see their AKA license plates on automobiles, as the State of Illinois sells A.A. sorority and fraternity license plates to members to "...raise funds to support various activities that benefit children, the underprivileged and older adults as well as educational and civic events in Illinois."
