The dodgeball tournament was not inspired by GPhi's Moonball Tournament in any way. One DPhiE sister had the Dodgeball Tournament idea for another club she participated in, but it didn't end up working out, so she provided all of her documents and plans for the Dodgeball Tournament to the DPhiE programming team. Also, GPhi's Moonball is a well known huge philanthropy event, while DPhiE Dodgeball was meant to be a lowkey event to fundraise money for future philanthropy events. By chance, the two events were both tournaments scheduled a week apart, but that was the only similar aspect. The two sororities ended up working it out, and the DPhiE Dodgeball Tournament date was moved.
