I’m pretty sure they were only close with Tri Delta because their sweetheart a couple years ago was in it. Crazy but for frats sometimes your sweetheart can say a lot about the chapter. Their most recent sweetheart I’m pretty sure was in Kappa Alpha Theta which helped them and was dating the president which helped too. Connections and relationships are everything in greeklife especially ucsd cause of how small it is. But it seems like they learned that having those relationships with Tri Delta and AOPi just didn’t help them and actually hurt them :/
