No need to start rumors about their financial situation. Most members of their own chapter are not informed about financials, let alone someone who isn't in it. Just like any chapter, there's girls that are not so great, which sometime overshadow some of the wonderful people that ARE in the chapter. If they're not your cup of tea, that's fine, but there's no reason to make things up that are completely unfounded.
