I walked into recruitment with a sorority in mind that was not ASA. Frankly, I loved the energy and the girls who were in ASA. However, I still loved the sorority I was rushing for. After meeting ASA, who I have never heard of at the time, it made it a really hard decision for me to rank them after pref night. One had such an intense pref night (which was really insanely cool), and the other was very laid back and funny. I was invited to that last day from both of those sororities that I wanted. And in the end, my gut told me to choose ASA and rank them first. These sororities have been neck on neck with my decision that whole week. Every sorority is different and has a different environment. And I do not regret my decision. We're not in the organization because we didn't fit in anywhere. We get to choose ourselves, as well as the sorority gets to choose. With the other organizations, I'm sure I could have probably fit in, but I felt I had to act a certain way. Not necessarily always meaning bad, but in the organization I chose, I felt relaxed. Do not assume we're weird because we're not like you. Normal is boring. We don't care. Weird is fun.
