It has been well-established that NYU panhel has work to do regarding diversity and inclusion. I don’t want to make excuses for anyone or any org, but coming on here and posting bold claims like this are much more harmful than they are helpful. Zeta, along with other orgs in panhel, has many members who are women of color that I can imagine would feel quite uncomfortable reading this. And on what basis do you make this claim? I’m excited about what Zeta and other orgs at NYU are doing to address issues of race, and I think it’s super important that we push these orgs to continue to do the work to make sure that long-term change is achieved. If you really are a member of the Panhellenic community that cares about how these orgs behave and are perceived, please put this energy towards working with the orgs to help make change happen, not towards making mean-spirited, vague, and unsupported claims on an anonymous online platform.
