the dues are "horribly high" is not a "nasty comment." They ARE horribly high. I rushed in 2015 and dues for new members were about $300/month. After freshman year they dropped to around $200 - I'm a junior and no longer active so IDK how much they are now. Aopi dues are one of the highest, actually says approximate dues on every sorority's webpage. I heard from a mom of a Phi Mu that their dues were around $350.
