Honestly, i think you're just a bit mis-informed. Rush/recruitment isn't bad as it seems. I'm not saying girls aren't judgmental, girls are girls. But recruitment is definitely not one of those times, at least for alpha phi. All the sisters are super enthusiastic to meet and talk with all the potential new members. There are no critiques of girls or any intense group sessions discussing each girl. I've heard stories about other sororities doing stuff like that, but things change every year and you can't trust tumors. But i can tell you for sure that alpha phi recruitment isn't what you think it is, alpha looks at the "full picture" when choosing girls and it's not a mean or critiquing process at all.
