5) Competitive - you can still be nice and care about winning. Because top houses bring their A game to every philanthropy, every event, every intramural game, etc regardless of if you get anything for it. Working hard at these events and consistently placing or winning is important because it shows that the girls care about their reputation and know how to work together well. Anyone who's been a part of LimeLight, Derby Days, Watermelon Fest, etc. knows how hard every girls works. Whether you are a dancer, an artist, help with set/costumes/props, show up to cheer, or get coffee for the girls pulling the all nighters, top houses work together to do well in everything. 6) Looks - it's not as important as a lot of things, but chances are if their are 2 groups both succeeding at things 1-5 equally, the one that is overall prettier while succeeding will probably have a better rep. I don't like that, but that's America for you. Although I will say, some of the best and most respected members of my house are not beauty queens and they do just as much, if not more, to keep our rep up than the girls guys fight over to ask to their formals.
