I joined a sorority this fall and tbh after pref I was really torn between tri delta and the sorority I ended up preffing - phi mu. I absolutely love mine and am so glad I listed them as my no 1. I was torn bc of the "reputation" I had for each in my head leading up to recruitment. I'm posting this to let everyone know to go with your gut instinct, not a preconceived idea of what each of the houses would be. All summer long, tri delta was all I wanted but each round I felt more and more unsure. Actually, I was upset at myself and made up excuses why I wasn't connecting with them the way I wanted to. Looking back, I think it was just who I was paired up with. No offense but they were mostly nerds and awkward girls who were into anime. I was gutted bc I thought for sure I would be paired with the cute, girls I pictured in my head that would be my sisters. Bottom line, don't go into recruitment with preconceived notion of who you 100% want bc reality might not line up with our silly hs expectations.
