This is absolute truth. Trying to get yourself dropped by a house you don't like by being a bad pnm there? That does absolutely nothing to get you ranked higher to get asked back where you like better. If you and your fave houses match in rankings you will go there. If not, you won't. Your other houses rankings of you have no affect whatsoever. You can even hurt your rush by being rude to any active in any sorority because girls are friends and roommates across sororities. All it takes is one text from a girl at one chapter to her friend at another chapter, and then the whole other chapter knows what went down. Sororities don't want to see their letters on girls like that, it makes their sorority look bad.
