So what are sororities supposed to do, drop the girls they know and like and want, with whom they have personal connections, in favor of someone else for the sake of geographical diversity? That hardly makes sense. This is not a scholarship award or a research grant, and it's certainly not a sign up sheet. Good for you that you have good grades and a great resume. You are amazing. You are used to being successful in high school. But these are social clubs for women that choose their members as they see fit. You have to be invited and if you're not it doesn't mean you aren't an accomplished person or that anyone thinks you're less than. Are you less than? No, no you are not. Get a little perspective.
