If a girl knows her chances are slim to none of being offered a bid at a "top" house then she should seriously think about putting them below the line on day one. That way she maximizes her options with all the houses that are actually interested in her. Many OOR make it through first day cuts with chi o, kappa delta, and delta gamma only to be drop by them immediately afterwards. I personally recommend (for OOR) to keep the others when ranking day one.
