Truth: Older sisters were on campus during these years. One had very close Kappa Sig friends. Sig Ep had a pledge who committed suicide. Nationals removed them from campus long enough for everyone associated with the chapter to graduate. Draw your own conclusions. Kappa Sig had the then typical bid day party. A female jokingly pulled the fire alarm. When authorities came to check the alarm it was obvious underage drinking was happening. The university put the chapter on probation and national pulled their charter. Kappa Sig nationals doesn’t play around with any chapter. A few guys worked very hard to have the chapter reinstated. These events and others across the country lead IFC and Panhellenic to develop the current reporting system and classes against hazing, drinking, and other concerns. It also lead to the current way the public can check to see which groups are on probation and why.
