It means different things to different sororities. Some sororities care about grades and activities and connections so they can stay On Top and continue to find value as an organization in offering the best. Others don’t care and want to make sure that beyond looking good on paper the sisters actually like each other and have a genuine connection, even if that means grades aren’t top priority. There is a bunch of fuss about tiers but I believe it boils down to 2 groups: one that cares about image, success, getting married, being on top, and one that cares about friendship, connection, parties, etc. neither have to be bad.
