my understanding has always been that "sweeping the row" is referring to the quality of girls. Everyone knows before recruitment which girls they're specifically going to go after, and it's always a big competition (especially amongst the top 4 as they try to go more for the big in state girls) who will get them. I feel like "sweeping the row" means that they got the biggest number of the most coveted girls. BUT, I think it's a bunch of crap because the OOS girls are JUST as amazing as the in state ones (I may be biased here because I'm an active OOS girl in one of the top 4). I believe every single sorority sweeps the row because each one gets a full pledge class full of beautiful new members who are excited to be there. Happy bid day!
