There are very few people from the Midwest at State in general. So that is reflected in the small number of midwesterners in sororities currently. Mississippi State is only about 24% OOS, with the majority of those people coming from Tennessee and Alabama. So I really wouldn't worry about it too much! Your grades are probably the most important thing to getting into a house. A very large majority of girls who go through recruitment get a bid. Also, all the sororities at State are top-notch. I honestly believe any of our sororities would be considered "top" at a lot of midwestern schools because of our heavy alumni investment and how well they are all run.
