I have to agree that variable quota has definitely helped some chapters improve even if it is originally disappointing for a large number of girls. To me Zeta and Pi Phi are most improved. Zeta had a homecoming maid when the only other chapters to have one were KD, DG, and Chi O. They have two girls in Miss MS this year and one of them is the current Miss Mississippi State University and Miss Maroon and White and is most likely to win Miss MS this year. Overall their new pledge class is definitely better and is moving up especially when their house is renovated. Pi Phi stood out during recruitment and always seems to be involved whether it's clubs and senate elections or socially. Pi Phi's have taken their risk in their own hands and I applaud them for that (one thing Zeta should step up on to truly compete with Pi Phi) . During rush I noticed a lot of girls prefer Pi Phi over Phi mu which I did not expect due to the strong influence of tiers. Both have to work on risk and grades and could use more involvement in their chapters spread out over a variety of members because some seem to be very involved and others barely. With upcoming rush both seem to be starting to shed the party girl reputation and will be known more as mellow and chill chapters kind of like AOII at Ole Miss and have better reputations. Both seem to have a lot of hidden gems that fell through the cracks of Chi O, KD, and DG and those girls really do have a more laid back attitude separating them from the
