Sororities have rules but they are mostly self explanatory and the same for every chapter. The only weird things are maybe rules that made sense a few decades ago but is strange now. Like I've heard in multiple sororities if you smoke you have to be sitting down and have legs crossed. I'm sure that made sense in the 60s-70s when it was a bigger deal for women to smoke. The main ones now are don't wear letters when smoking, drinking, etc. and don't get on elevated surfaces (ie dance on bars or tables). Some sororities will not let you wear the greek letters of your sorority until initiation and some will. You will have mandatory new member/pledge class meetings at first. Other than that, nothing weird or excessive!
