Let me ask for clarification. If I naivly ask an alumni to write me a rec, she can write a bad one? Does she have to show any reason why, or proof, as to why she doesn't want me in her old sorority? That's slander! I have really lived a pretty boring life in HS but I know there is a lady that doesn't like my mom through work. I've heard she has written bad letters for many girls. I thought they carried no weight. How does this work?
