Props, costumes, and flow are important in Derby Day lip sync. Yes theirs was very good but the story was a little hard to follow and the props/signs weren't flashy and colorful. IMO that's the key to winning or placing in lip sync. Watch old lip syncs on YouTube and you'll see. Some of the best I've seen have been KD's Peter Pan and Gilligan's Island, Chi O's San Francisco and Alice in Wonderland, DG's Friends, and Phi Mu's Wizard of Oz. Yes, I'm the one before Derby Day who watched a ton of old videos. It gave me ideas for my chapter!
