At other schools, if they have one sorority that continually does not fare well in formal rush, they have that sorority drop out of formal rush and do their own rush afterwards. That way they can capture girls who choose not to participate in formal rush but still want to be in a sorority, without throwing off the numbers in formal rush. Yes, girls dropped, but only because the option left was a sorority that historically never has even close to a full pledge class, and is not going to provide a comparable experience., Most schools have a rate of over 90% of the girls who initially sign up for rush ending up with a bid. Even if you go with the 450 number, that is a poor rate of 75%.
