I used to be like you, too. idk how I got a bid when I went through recruitment because I was so nervous and shy I hardly held conversation. Being in my sorority changed that, it opened me up a lot. Just try your best to ask questions or make casual conversation if you don't have anything to ask. and even try to laugh it off like "haha sorry I'm nervous, this is like speed dating" or something.
