With the email put out by Interim Chancellor Foley today, I hope all of you ridiculous people that continued to support the protests, and protest leaders, until just days ago, realize how you were fooled and used. The information put out in the email today is actually even more alarming than what is stated. And sadly, we will continue to see a drop in enrollment as student are concerned about these massive budget cuts affecting the quality of degree they are seeking. As much love and pride one might have for this University, sadly, finances will play into the decision of many to either not attend, or to transfer. Some of you will of course say, just go. If you are one of those people, you are certainly not one that loves this Universty; at this time despite your own defensive feelings, you should not be encouraging people to leave, yet you should realize the major impact these events bring to some quality programs here. The fact that one of the lead protesters publicly stated this week that he has not been affiliated with this group since November says so much. And he is one that realizes the inaccuracies and 'tales' told to the media did, in fact, end up hurting a University that provided so much to him. It truly is time for people to band together and take control and place pride again in this University.
