I'm actually pretty sure I know who this is and if it isn't I know someone in this exact same position. What I would say is I agree with the first comment. Based on this situation, it seems like the houses that felt like you could fit in weren't what you wanted. In that case, it's not like spending a whole year not socializing with them is going to help anything. Also, if you're anything like the person I know, really consider your "connections." Just because a girl is friends with you doesn't necessarily mean she'll vouvh for you to be on her house. Getting in a house is a privilege and it's something that girls work really hard for during recruitment and, at least if they're like me, aren't that willing to just vouch for anyone. It's special. Hate to sound rude, but that's just how I and other friends of mine feel.
