All of those reasons might very well indicate problems within the sorority. 1. If you are selective in whom you pledge and pay close attention to recs, money shouldn't be an issue. 2. If you pledge girls who come from a background where academic advancement is expected, the death of a family member wouldn't preclude you from finishing your education. 3. If you pledge girls who meet your grade standards, they won't have grade issues and 4. If you have a great sisterhood and the women you pledge find their niche, it's unlikely they will be unhappy enough to transfer. And if Mizzou isn't a strong school in their major, if they were academically focused they would have known that and would not have decided to attend Mizzou. Am I being harsh? Perhaps. But in the best houses academics and finances aren't really an issue.
