Aww :( Don't beat yourself up. A lot of people have adjustment issues their first semester of college and it affects their grades. I will be honest with you here. As much as I would love to encourage any girl to go Greek i don't know if spring is the right time for you. 2.94 isn't horrible, but would be considered a grade risk for most chapters and lessen your chances of a bid. If you're really intent on going Greek in the spring and you are not picky and want to have a sisterhood and be involved maybe look into COB for Sigma. One of my friends had pretty horrible grades and was offered a bid in COB as a grades risk. If they like you well enough it could work out. Realistically though if you'd like to maximize your options, I would hold off on joining a sorority in spring raise your grades up a lot higher and sign up for formal recruitment on fall. That's your best chance. If you were to get a bid on the spring getting your grades up and being a new member in a sorority can be conflicting.
