The only person who thinks the tiers have changed is the person who keeps carping away on that subject, posting time after time after time. And if her posts don't get other comments, she replies to them herself. She is either in a low-tier house that doesn't get much respect or is not even an insider, just someone with an ax to grind. The reality is that not much has changed at all. There are still houses that are doing extremely well and have their choice of who joins (TriDelt, XO, PiPhi, probably Theta), then a bunch of really good houses that also do extremely well during rush. It's not just about looks, it's not just about academics or leadership or philanthropy. It's the whole package and there is no reason to obsess about tiers when there are so many good houses. That's what the recent TriDelt critic (and that awful woman who makes up ridiculous stuff about PiPhi) doesn't understand. Tiers don't matter because our system is so strong overall. There are beautiful girls in every single house. And when it comes to grades, have you see the GPAs of most sororities? Off the charts, especially compared to the fraternity average and the all-school average. So how about if our little gift to ourselves is ignoring the sad women who just don't get it, and instead embrace who we are.
