Maybe they're treating you like a basic sorority girl because you're acting like one. Is all you want to talk about Greek life or parties or something of the like that Greeks enjoy doing? Do you have your bid day welcome sign with your name on it plastered on the outside of your door? Is your entire room decorated in monograms and sorority letters? Do you wear your letters at least 3 times a week? Then yes. You're probably being basic. Not saying you're wrong by any means to be doing that, it's fun, I did it too. but you are basic and you probably act basic too and don't realize it. I mean after all, you are posting on this website of all places for advice so you are probably pretty basic. I learned if you want to make friends that aren't Greek, you need to understand that they don't care about anything Greek at all. At. All. So don't talk about it.
