A 3.5 is okay, most PNMs will have a between a 3.4-3.7 and then the rest will be the 3.9s and 4.0. Usually all grade cuts are made above a 3.0 and a few exceptions are made for legacies, girls that stand out, etc. with a 3.5 a house like Theta or Chi O may cut you because they look for the really high grades and such. My house has a 3.4 grade cut for the first round and legacies have a 3.2. Then after the second round we don't look as much at grades but when it comes to preference day we look at grades again:
