I am the Scholarship Chair at my house and also on the rush committee. I will be watching for you because you are just the kind of student we want. In fact, we had several girls in our most recent pledge class who will be graduating in three years, so you will feel at home. We pay close attention to SATs as well as ACTs -- and your SATs are very impressive -- so don't worry about that at all. We also have several girls who went through IB programs, so we are familiar with that, too. Having said that, I wound absolutely encourage you to go through recruitment as a freshman because the houses you will be interested in will understand the rigor of your high school (unlike so many schools where A's seem to be the standard grade). I also would encourage you to get recs -- from as many sororities as possible. That's the best way for someone to explain your situation and what an outstanding member you are likely to be.
