<strong>Subject:</strong><br />which is better?<br /><br /> Poster Message:
I went to an extremely competitive International Baccalaureate high school. It accepted only top students and once you were accepted the grade scale was very strict (95-100=A, 90-95=B, 85-90=C and below 85 you were kicked out). As a result, I graduated with the equivalent of a 3.5, which actually was quite good, but A's were really hard to get. I also earned 31 college credits (in Calc, Stats, Physics, Chem, History, English Lit , Psych and more). However, since I am from out of state, no one really knows a thing about this school and likely will just look at my 3.4, which by most high school standards isn't very good. So here's my question: I am signed up for rush but really am interested only in a house where academics are important (if they will have me) since I am pre-med. Would it be better if I waited until sophomore year to rush and use my college GPA? The problem with that is that I will be graduating in three years, so if I waited I would graduate the year I am living in the house and that would be weird. I would appreciate any advice.
