There are still stories about in the Maneater archives if you Google. Reorganizing worked for Alpha Phi here and at Cornell, Duke and UVA. At those schools APhi is now solid middle to upper middle. (APhi at Cornell is actually one of the so-called Core Four.) However, there was a lot of drama and bitterness at the time. The chapter alumnae association and APhi national both pressured the actives to go alum so they wouldn't lose their charter and their spot in Panhellenic, and possibly have to wait years and years for the campus to open for extension. Some of the actives threatened to sue and claimed they were forced out of the house, told not to wear letters around campus, told not to associate with the new chapter, etc.
