The bottom tier is not a guarantee. If anyone thinks they're going to go through recruitment trying to get a top tier house, half ass it at the rest of the houses and then use your favorite middle/bottom tier house as your fallback then you might be in for a shock when you wake up to a call on Bid Day to your Pi Chi telling you that you don't have any bids waiting for you. Or alternatively, you might not get a bid to the fallback house you like best. My advice is to rush every single house like they are the ones you absolutely want to be in. I'm a legacy to my bottom tier house and I wanted to wear the letters I have now. But I rushed every single house like they were Tri-Delta and every girl wanted my spot in that house. Be friendly everywhere you go, try your hardest in every house and be kind. You don't know how or why your opinions of a house might change. And yeah, we talk to each other. So if you're rude in my bottom tier house, you better believe I'll talk to about you to my roommates, all in top tier houses. This website doesn't make it seem this way but we ARE friends with each other and do talk. A few years ago there was a Kappa legacy who wore her headphones during every party round she was in a bottom tier house and all of Greek town started talking. She didn't get a bid. Nobody wanted her because everyone found out about how rude she was through their friends in other houses. So just don't be stupid.
