I hope you don't think I am being rude or insulting. I'm just trying to be helpful. I think sorority life is the last thing you should be thinking about. If studying does not come easily to you and you had to "work your butt off" to get a 3.5 in high school, and if you couldn't even finish the ACT, I think you should have other priorities. You can't imagine what it is like sitting in a lecture hall of hundreds of people trying to grasp the most important elements of a topic when you can barely see or hear the lecturer. Then you get into smaller lab sessions with grad students who have never taught before. Some of them are great and others barely speak English. And then you have all of 45 minutes to finish just one or two mid-terms and a final that constitute your entire grade. And those are the freshman classes that everyone must take before even taking one more interesting class in your major. Why don't you see how the education part of college goes first and then rush as a sophomore if you have really gotten a handle on things. If you rush as a sophomore you won't have to worry about ACT's anyway, just your freshman GPA.
