I totally disagree. I think knowing someone in a house can really work against you, whereas girls from out of state have an advantage. If you know someone in a house and they go to bat for you, you never know if that girl is well-respected or whether she will have a negative influence. If you went to high school with a bunch of girls in a house, you never know if that helps or not because someone said your older sister once stole her older sister's boyfriend or that your best friend made the cheerleading squad and the girl in the house that you know didn't and she has resented you ever since. Well, you get the idea. But when no one knows you, your resume, your recs and your personality do all of the talking, not some petty high school vendetta. I was from out of state and sailed through rush. Now that I have seen the other side of rush, I understand why.
