I know this girl. She goes to a high school where just about everyone gets A's, so she thinks she's smart. She joins all kinds of organizations so that it seems like she's very involved, but takes no leadership role in any of the. She volunteers so that she can put it on her resume, but makes no real commitment to a cause. She thinks she's pretty because every time her mom would buy her a new frilly outfit she would tell her daughter how pretty she was, and every time she leaves the house her parents tell her she's beautiful, even though she's pretty average. She thinks she's popular because she has so many Facebook friends, but she doesn't really know the meaning of being a true friend. She thinks she's musical because her parents kept paying for piano lessons, hoping she would do something remarkable, but they're still waiting. Girls like these are a dime a dozen. In fact, on paper she's JUST LIKE every other girl who goes through rush. Unless she gets her act together, there is no way in the world she will do well in rush.
